Mr. Boober’s Doernbecher’s Freestyle Jordan I

Doernbecher Children’s Hospital and Nike has been teamed up for the past few years for the  release of a series of charity sneakers where the sales and proceeds will be contributed to the hospital. From this came the latest release, the Air Jordan 1 High and it seems to be the key shoe. Mr. Boober a.k a Tony Taylor who is only 16 years old, is the most recent designer to the Doernbecher Freestyle collection.   It was while in this hospital for the transplant battling Nephrotic Syndrome, that Tony first learned about the Freestyle Project. The sneakers features Tony on the tongue and is finished off with a tag that names some of the people who contributed to the surgery including his family and doctor’s.   The added touch is also Tiger Woods’ signature along the left toe cap, as Tiger and his wife Elin are avid supporters of the Doernbecher and Nike Freestyle project.  The two magic persons who guided Tony with his vision of the project was Jason Mayden and Estelle Maranan. Mr Boober claimed that the inspiration came from the very experiences of his life.  These magnificent sneakers will be released on November 14 along with four other Doernbecher children designed shoes. The sneakers  are packaged in a wooden box with lasered text and graphics, and it sports a gradient upper along with a beach scene outline, gold stitching and gum sole.   This great sneakers are retailing for $125, which I think is a great bargain! These are the second Air Jordans to be part of the Doernbecher Freestyle project, last year we saw the Doernbecher Air Jordan 2 and the donation raised on this project was $850,000.  Grab a pair of this new collection now while the price is still low available at your nearest Nike Stores!
