The Air Melo Line of shoes is made by Nike under the Air Jordan Brand. The sneakers are the signature shoes of NBA star Carmelo Anthony. Currently there are four different shoes out, the first two shoes made, the Air Jordan Melo 1.5, and the Air Jordan Melo 5.5, were not completely Carmelo’s own designs. The Air Jordan Melo 1.5’s made an appearance in Ned’s Declassified School Survival Guide, Ned wanted it after he found them in the Lost and Found. The sneakers was a hit and in 2006 Air Jordan gave Carmelo his very own shoe, with its very own design. The shoe is called the Air Melo M3.  Carmelo Anthony’s second signature shoe the Melo M4 was released for the 06-07 season and this one was his own design!  His new and upcoming signature shoe is called AIR MELO M5 . The sneakers featured a predominantly white upper along with blue and red accents. The base of the upper sports patent leather, while the side panels feature some re-occurring CA print.  During the Gold Medal Game in Beijing Carmelo Anthony gave the world a preview of the Jordan Melo M5 wearing an Olympic colorway.  The Jordan Melo 5 looks very promising and looks like it has incorporated some familiar lines from the Jordan XX3 as well as the Melo M4, but the Melo M5 should work wonders on the Basket-Ball court. These sneakers (M5) were designed by D’Wayne Edwards, the Design Director for Jordan Brand Footwear.  The Jordan Melo M5 will become available to the public on November 22, 2008 for $128.
